We have a thorough understanding of the practical, commercial, legal and policy issues. We are aware of the special probity and confidentiality requirements that apply in this sector.
We have acted for a range of local and international clients on bids to deliver supplies and services to the Department of Defence. We are familiar with the contractual models used by the Department and the procurement guidelines. Our work has included preparing and reviewing project documentation, conducting negotiations with the Department and advising our clients on their legal position and strategic options during the negotiations.

Advising a major Australian defence contractor on its bid to deliver three air warfare ships and their support systems.

Advising the Australian Industry Group Defence Council in connection with the Procurement Improvement Program proposed by the Department of Defence, including on the proposed new suite of Acquisition Contracts.

Advising a US-based defence contractor on a range of issues relating to Australian Department of Defence contract conditions, NDAs and costing rules, including IP and liability issues.
