Jody Williams practises in the areas of construction, infrastructure and insurance, primarily in the management of project claims and dispute resolution. She also lectures at the University of Melbourne in construction law and sustainable infrastructure systems.

Jody also has extensive experience in insurance law and professional indemnity.
Jody was the Company Secretary of the Infrastructure Sustainability Council from 2021 to 2024 and remains as a member of the Governance and People Committee.

Advising the Project insurer in relation to Supreme Court proceedings arising from the construction of the Burnley Tunnel as part of the CityLink Project and negotiating the resolution of the claims at mediation.

Advising both contractors and insurers in relation to claims relating to construction defects and negligent design.

Acting on behalf of the owner and operator of subsea oilfield equipment in an arbitration arising from the defective installation of the equipment.

Acting on behalf of the designers of the Barwon Water Sewage Treatment Plant and advising their insurers in Supreme Court proceedings arising from the design and construction of the Plant.
